Longevity

Working in the hospice industry is not easy. Many people find it difficult to deal with the emotional toll of death and dying every day. We call it “compassion fatigue.” The average length of service for a hospice worker is about two years. However, the average length of service among the Shepherd’s Cove leadership team is 12 years. Six of our leaders have 10 years or more and two of them have 20 years or more of service to the agency. The Shepherd’s Cove leadership team is responsible for ensuring all services are provided with the highest compassion and care, while still meeting state and national regulations. The quality of our care stems from quality of leadership within the agency. These long-serving leaders bring consistency that help hold SCH to a higher standard of care.
